Carolyn Joyce Trujillo, 79, passed away peacefully in her home on September 17, 2022. She was born in Denver, Colorado on September 5, 1943. She and her husband, Robert Trujillo, were blessed to be married for 57 years. They had four children: Greg Trujillo (Kelly), Ken Trujillo (Michelle), Chris Trujillo (Roni), and Brandy Kohnstamm (Steve), and ten grandchildren: Joshua, Chelsey, Aubrey, Hunter, Harleigh, Wyatt, Easton, Luke, Matthew, and Mikyla.

Carolyn was a dedicated Safeway deli manager for many years. Carolyn’s true joy however was her family. She loved having a house full of people, whether for just a visit or so she could cook them a meal. All were welcome in her home, and all who were in her home were family. She made everyone feel that they belonged and were loved. Her grandchildren were especially adored and spoiled. Carolyn also enjoyed traveling, dancing, listening to music, and gambling (because she was so darn good at it). She was an incredibly loving person, and she will be truly missed by all who had the good fortune to know her.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Augustine and Mary Garcia, and five siblings. She is survived by her husband, children, and grandchildren, as well as sisters Linda Garcia (Dan) and Danita Sena (Rick), brother-in-law David Ivarson, and many nieces and nephews.

Carolyn’s Memorial Mass will take place at St. Jude Catholic Church, 9405 W Florida Ave, Lakewood, CO 80232 on Thursday, October 20th, 2022.
