Obituary for John Frederick Lind Jr.

John “Johnny” Frederick Lind Jr. of Golden, Colorado passed away at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Lafayette, Colorado after battling cancer again. John was a respected member of the the local community, serving as president of the Buffalo Bill Saddle Club and volunteering many years at the National Western Stock Show (NWSS), as well as Open Space volunteer horseback patroller. John retired as a professional carpenter from John Lind Enterprises having built thousands of decks and other wood projects throughout the greater Denver area including building his personal family home. After several decades of building his business, John passed the lead to his son who has continued to grow the business. John was a vibrant and intelligent person who was committed to spending much time with his extended family. His enthusiasm for life was demonstrated by his various interests and accomplishments such building an experimental airplane and piloting his Cessna. John’s passion for riding his horse in the local parades and around the hillsides and trails made him an unforgettable man.

John is survived by his wife of 47 years Alene Laura Lind; his only child Paul Daniel Lind; grandchild Hux Thor Lind; brother Kenneth Eugene Lind; brother Alfred Dan Lind; sister Sharon Marie McKenzie; sister Yvonne Louise Cleveland; and sister Kelly Rae Tucker. John was preceded in death by his father John Frederick Lind Sr and his mother, Yvonne Agnes Spiva. A ceremony of life for John will be held on Thursday, May 18th, 5:00PM-8:00PM at American Legion Post 161, 6230 West 60th Avenue, Arvada, CO 80003. Family and close friends are welcome to attend.
