Obituary for Timothy "Tim" Paul Pratt

Timothy "Tim" Paul Pratt, beloved father and brother passed from this life of natural causes at the age of 59. Tim grew up in Fort Collins, the youngest of 5. In college he was an all around gymnast, graduating from Colorado State University, receiving a masters degree from the University of Northern Colorado. As an elementary teacher he was devoted to his students and his team, and shared his passion of learning.

The simple pleasures in life brought great joy to Tim. He loved spending time with his family, fishing and quiet evenings. He filled his home with music teaching himself to become a skilled guitar player. Tim had the uncanny ability to find happiness in the beauty of nature. His first love was his daughter and his second was his dog, Kacie.

He is survived by his daughter Mackenzie, his siblings, Robin (Dan) Paterson, Chuck (Marti) Pratt, Brian (Chris) Pratt, and Mandy (Dave) Barrett. He is also survived by his Niece Wendy (John) Sedey and Nephews Scott Peterson, Clayton and Nicholas Pratt. Tim was predeceased by his parents Lois and Charles Pratt, niece, and nephews Matt and Darby.

There will be a gathering to celebrate Tim's life in Castle Rock, Colorado at The Millhouse at Phillip S. Miller Park, 1375 W. Plum Creek Parkway on April 9th at 6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, Mackenzie has requested donations to the Dumb Friends League Organization. His love for his dog Kacie was above and beyond. He would want for other animals to have what Kacie had with him.
