Obituary for Wendy Chiaramonte

Wendy crossed the rainbow bridge on February 25, 2022, she was reunited with her loving pet of 17 years, Bella. She was a strong woman with a huge heart, who never met a person she didn’t like. Through her years in this world, she was the one that her friends and family could turn to for strength, advice, a huge laugh and even a shoulder to cry on. Wendy was an avid outdoor person where she loved to hike, bike, swim, ski and just be in the beautiful mountains of Colorado. One of her greatest accomplishments was her art work. She had been painting, drawing, printmaking, and teaching, for over 30 years. She was an Artist with great compassion and empathy for others and it showed in each and every piece she created. When Wendy opened her business in 2019 her goal and dream was that one day her artwork would bring joy to everyone that had the opportunity to view it. She was also anticipating that her artwork would give hope and change for the future.

Wendy, was born and raised in Chicago, IL. She studied at Elmhurst Collage and received her Bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University. She also studied at The American Academy of Art Chicago, Loyola University Chicago, University of Phoenix, and Ghost Ranch New Mexico. She then moved to Sedona, Arizona to sell art, take workshops with established artists and worked in tourism and hospitality. She then moved to Northern California, and then to Denver, where she resided.

Wendy worked for IT companies-Informix, EMC, Dell, and Springbok Services learning much about technology, business, travel and event planning.

Wendy was born June 4, 1963 to Lois Chiaramonte (Kankowske) and Salvatore J. “Babe” Chiaramonte. She was survived by her brother Joe Chiaramonte (Jennifer) nephew’s Joey Jr., Dominic and niece Emma. Aunt Lorelei Zentmyer (John), Aunt Patti, Uncle Joe, Uncle Dennis (Barbara), Aunt Delores Kankowske and many cousins.

Words from a friend- Hola senorita Wendy Man-
“We are better for knowing you, better for loving you, better for having you in our lives. May you be as blessed in your next life, as we were in this one by knowing you. You are already greatly missed and will be in all of our hearts forever”
